Like you my husband and I were also faced with the dilemma of trusting someone with our children. We too were looking for a clean, friendly and warm atmosphere for our children to spend a good part of their day while mommy and daddy were at work. We wanted to find that special someone that felt that our children were as sweet and precious as we did. So we set out to do what we found to be the hardest thing we ever had to do. Where do we start? How do we begin to find someone that we trust with the most important part of our lives?
We knew we wanted someone with the same type of morals and values that our family has. But there are so many in home daycares out there, How do we choose? Well what we found to be true is your childcare provider is a very important part of your family...in essence a surrogate parent. And you must feel 100% comfortable with the provider as well as their home. Will they mind if you call everyday for the first few weeks just because you were at work and wanted to know if you baby was okay? How well does your provider communicate with you? These are all things that are important factors to consider when choosing a provider.
We understand that your children are precious and that you as parents want the best for your little gifts from God. We hope to help your family through this tough transition of going back to work and offer our support and patience.
Sincerely,
The Jones Family
How we got started....
Prior to becoming licensed providers we also worked outside the home. My husband was a shift supervisor for a gas company in Dallas and I was employed as a Certified Paralegal for several years working about 50 hours per week preparing for trials and drafting corporate documents.
We decided that we wanted to be blessed with the gift of another addition to our family and were faced with looking at childcare options. We were not comfortable with some of the choices that we saw at the time and decided that it was time for a change.
So after giving prayerful consideration we decided that we wanted to offer working parents a warm and clean environment where they could have peace of mind everyday knowing that their little ones are well taken care of in a "Home Away From Home environment". We have been caring for children in our home for over 6 years offering families a unique look at childcare by having a husband and wife team operating together on a daily basis.
We are both certified in CPR and First Aide.
